Summer Mummers Attack!

Back in June I participated in the filming "La Petite Séduction", a Québec TV show about francophone communities across Canada. You can watch the episode about St. John's here. A group of us mummers appear at 9:56 for a couple of minutes - I'm the one holding the fiddle.

These mummers want Sheilagh O'Leary for mayor!

It's mid-July and I'm wearing a wool sweater

Finally! A selective visual journey through my past 6 weeks here in Newfoundland.

The Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road (next to the penitentiary).

Camping at Middle Cove Beach.

Gathering capelin at Outer Cove beach earlier this month.

Poppies in the front yard.

Egyptian Walking Onions at the Rabbittown Garden (I have been eating a lot of these lately and they are great).

A sneak peak at the Rabbittown garden shed mural, part 1.

More to come soon - I'll be leaving tomorrow on a road trip north to Fogo Island and Notre-Dame Bay.

The Creature from the Nice Lagoon

Another airport lounge doodle.

A new project in the works: painting a mural for the Rabbittown Community Garden's shed and generally prettying up their space. I will post photos as it progresses and starts taking shape.

Lots more photos to post as well of my capelin-gathering day at Outer Cove and camping trips by the ocean... I'll post them soon.
